Everyone knows times are going tougher this year 2020 so all of us are starting to adapt to the " new normal". Something that really surprised me to share something with you guys for today's blog is, Taiwan Expo is in Malaysia this year for the 4th consecutive year and this time it will be an  online expo ! This virtual exhibition is going to held on November 25th to 27th covering informative online seminars, exclusive one-on-one e business matching session for about 200 Taiwanese exhibitors and Malaysia exhibitors to explore business opportunities.

Taiwan Expo 2019 - Taipei Your Partner Pavilion

Hallo, it was a long weekend last week for me and it was a fruitful one, because I’ve attended the ‘Taiwan Expo 2019’ happening on 5th and 6th of July and I met a lot of great people and learnt a lot of new things.

And now I would like to share with you guys about my experience visiting one of the booths which is ‘Taipei Your Partner’ Pavilion .

First thing first, this expo is an eye opening experience for me and I think this is the first time I see how Taiwanese really put so much effort from decorating their pavilion/ marketing / showcasing their products, they really show us their professionalism in every aspect that I think we Malaysian should really learn from them.

So basically this is the second consecutive year that Taipei City Government participate in the
Taiwan Expo and setup their pavilion under the theme of ‘Taipei Your Partner’ pavilion. This pavilion is introducing diverse aspects of Taipei to local visitors and manufacturers through for sub-themes mainly “Invest Taipei,” “Fine Goods Taipei”, “Travel Taipei” and “Connect Taipei” inviting 14 Taipei Companies to participate in this Taiwan Expo 2019.

Some of the products that really catch my attention during my visit to this pavilion was from Worldibuy , Shinybrands, I Show Life, Toothfilm and many more.

This particular owl-like CCTV is like the most eye catching item that everyone will pay attention on whenever they pass by this pavilion. It’s super cute and the eyes of the owl will move according to the movement around, tap the top part of the owl and it will sleep. Hahahaha. I think this CCTV is really very canggih and can place everywhere in the house or the office without people noticing that it’s a CCTV, good for camouflage. The retail price is at about RM 1075 including shipping fee from Taiwan to Malaysia if I’m not mistaken.

Do you want to have glowing skin without make up ? Then you should try “Mirae 8 minutes Cushion Mask”,  one of the most popular facial mask products produced by Shinybrands, it had attracted the attention of many patrons and manufacturers as well. I’ve got myself some sample masks from the pavilion so I am really excited to try out and see if this 8 minutes mask does works wonders on my skin ! Do check out my IG story for more updates on the mask results.

In addition to inviting Taipei companies to participate in the exhibition, the Taipei City Government is also actively communicating with Malaysian Business and industrial groups in order to promote exchanges between international cities, enhancing bilateral economic and trade energies. For further business exchanges with local business groups, The Taipei City Government witnessed the Importers and Exporters Association of Taipei (IEAT) , the city’s largest business organisation, signed memoranda of understanding with the Malaysian International Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MICCI), Penang Chamber of Commerce , and the SME Association of Seberang Perai to strengthen future strategic cooperation. IEAT has always served as a bridge between government and industry, and therefore hoping more canggih and innovative products from Taiwan will come to Malaysia soon through this channel of business relationship. So guys, if you wish to expand your business to Taipei, or thinking of importing Taiwan products to Malaysia, please feel free to contact the Importers and Exporters Association of Taipei (IEAT) through their social media platform. I’m sure they will be the experts in dealing with all your questions.

Through this 2 days experience in visiting Taipei Expo 2019 with the team I’ve really learnt more about how we can actually expand local businesses to overseas through association like IEAT which really hassle free and their professionalism in giving you an advice is definitely better than just googled ‘ how to import products to sell from overseas’. Maybe next time if I have a chance to open my own bubble tea shop and this is where I can head for advice on opening franchise in Taiwan ?

Thanks for reading this and see ya soon!
